Situated in the northern Bahamas, the Abaco Islands constitute five of the 31 Districts of the Bahamas. The island was initially inhibited by the Lucayan and the Abaco Independence Movement was quelled by 1975. The island is known for sailing activities, resort tourism and has four national parks that attract number of tourists every year. The Abaco flights from Treasure Cay Airport are available to destinations including Miami, March Harbour, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. In this airport more than 15 planes arrive/depart a day, most to Florida and some to Nassau. Flights to Abaco are served everyday.
