Boeing has said that they are going to tell the suppliers that we will halt the shipment of 787 dreamliner for the next two weeks because of the delays at the company who is framing and manufacturing the tail part of the flight. Boeing said that this delay will not affect the delivery of 787 airbuses. The plane is near about three years back from the delivery date.
Spokeswoman for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Loretta Gunter said that shipment schedule relates change to Italian supplier Alenia Aeronautics, which produces the stablisers for 787. A source close to Alenia said that the company was working with Boeing to resolve the dispute of stabliser.
787 planes in the summer were inspected by the Boeing Company after it disclosed “workmanship” issue affecting horizontal stabilizers. This delay in the supply of 787 Dreamliner was basically due to the dispute between stabliser Company and the Boeing company. This company has previous history of delaying in delivery of any order which has been given.
