Dubai airline Emirates is not going to join any commercial alliances as they are harmful to healthy competition. On Monday this was announced by the airline’s president in a press conference organized only for this purpose. Tim Clark assumed and reacted that the airline is going to operate singularly because the alliance airline can harm the business strategy defined by the company for itself. The quality of service will be degraded as said in a newspaper known as daily Al Bayan.
Middle East’s largest carrier, Emirates is not a part of global airlines such as one world or star alliance. Clark’s remarks came during the distribution of flight routes and competition in the travel industry. Emirates rapid expansion, as well as gulf majors Etihad of Abu Dhabi and Qatar Airways. Carriers in confusion that Gulf-based superjumbos will affect their own hubs which will be a great economic loss for the airlines.
The military of Canada has lost the access over a camp near Dubai, which is basically used to support the troops in Afghanistan and other parts of it. This action has been taken when Ottawa refused to allow emirates to increase flights to Canada.
