Bmi is in full balance to launch the new daily flights to Libya which will provide a head to head healthy competition to British airways. The Heathrow-Tripoli service which begins on December 1 is basically targeting to provide the facilities to the oil workers who are taking the services from Aberdeen to Heathrow before arranging to other carriers. Bmi already provides its services to several other oil countries such as Moscow and Almaty in Eastern Europe Jeddah and Riyadh in the Middle East.
The new flights services offered by Bmi are going to connect the Africa with Bmi flying to Cairo, Khartoum, Addis Ababa and Freetown. This move by Bmi totally based on Britain already owned by Lufthansa role in the release of the Lockerbie bomber.
A Bmi spokes man said that the airlines is going to move in the Libyan market at a politically sensitive time. British airways is flying daily to Libya and the relationship is improving daily. This route is improving day by day for business and leisure services. And in future these services are going to be a landmark for the passengers who are Traveling to the Libya region.
