On the occasion of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day, British Airways on Saturday 12th March conducted a stand up comedy event ‘The Smile High’ on its A321 aircraft which took its two and a half hours flight from London to UK. The famous comedians Dara O Briain, Jack Whitehall and Jon Richardson were the hosts and performers of the show and they were the vital source to win the highest stand-up comedy gig in the world.
There were around 180 travelers who were the audience to the comedy show. The comedians performed for around 45 minutes and made the audience laugh and giggle throughout the show. Jack Whitehall joked as “I was looking forward to today – after all it’s the only gig where people can’t walk out. If you want to heckle you’ll have to press the call button.â€? Every one on the flight put a red tuck on their nose as the symbol for Red Nose Day and enjoyed the show with full excitement and laugh.
British Airways pilot Brian Connolly felt a sense of to be the part of this flight and operate it. He said that he is proud to be the holder of Guinness World Record and the member of the High Smile Club. The passengers enjoyed with champagne and the comedians were on to entertain them with their jokes. In June 2010, the British Airways and Comic Relief joined their hands and fall into a partner ship and raised an amount of £100,000 on this special occasion of Red Nose day.
