Delta airlines has canceled its flight from Amsterdam to Newark, new jersey because at run time they got the news that a crew member was not fit to join the duty as the flight was ready to take off. Flight thirty five was scrubbed, crew member was suspended and the passengers were scheduled to rebook on the other day. A delta spokesman said a 52 years old airline captain from New Jersey was arrested and the charges on them are of alcohol in his blood.
The authorities pulled out the pilot from the plane after receiving a tip that he was drunk said Jos Klaren, a spokesman for the police. Breath test showed that the pilot alcohol level is greater than the legal limit. This was the third case of alcohol breath test failure before this American and united airlines pilots have failed in this test within sixteen months. U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said clearly that no pilot can drink alcohol within eight hours of the flight takeoff. Restriction of alcohol is in the premises of airport area.
