Nine employee unions of French air traffic have suddenly made a strike on 23rd Sept which has disabled the in and out traffic of the passengers from the French airport. The unions have called a one day strike over and across the country against the countries pension reforms. France’s civil aviation authority has said to all its carriers to reduce forty to fifty percent of all its flights. France’s striking air traffic controllers will start their strike from 5 PM and it will end at 5 AM local time Friday.
The strike is going to effect the in and out of the French air space. As France location is in the center of Europe hence it is going to affect not only the traffic inside France but the traffic surrounding the country also. Air France has said that it is going to continue its long haul flights rather some deductions will be there in short haul flights.
Ryanair has canceled its several flights which are crossing from the French airspace. This strike is not only of the air traffic controllers but all the workers of the country of France. The basic demand of all the workers is to raise the pension reforms from sixty to sixty-two years by 2018. More than 2.5 million people have participated in this strike to refuse the pension reforms of the government.
