France Air Traffic Controllers Strike on, Passengers Look Like Hostage

Passengers faced severe problems due to strike by air traffic controllers on Wednesday the basic reason behind it is the planning of EU’s harmonization of European airspace. There was great anger between air traffic controllers regarding this partiality and was being faced by passengers.

One out of ten flights were cancelled on Wednesday at the main Paris airport Charles de Gualla due to strike by air traffic controllers. At Orly airport 50 percent were cancelled 22 percent were cancelled at Marseilles and 6 percent were cancelled at nice airport In Cote d’Azur region.

Most of the airports in France were busy during summer holidays due to industrial action, and due to which 30 percent air traffic controllers joined the strike as said by French civil aviation authority DGAC. Problem rose from Tuesday evening and continued till Thursday.

Union has a fear that merging will lead to plenty of job losses cut in benefits meanwhile government spokesman chattel said to LIC news channel that strike was unacceptable and will place many passengers in hostage position.

In Spain 13 air traffic controllers were called sick at the mean time in Barcelona leads to delay but no flights were cancelled.
