JetBlue Airways was put on a fine of huge amount by the United States Department of Transportation on Monday. The reason behind this charge was that it was found by the security officials that the rules were breaked by the airlines. They are not paying their full attention on the protection of the passengers with disabilities and other passengers who are really in need of it.The JetBlue airlines sold some of the flights which were under the agreement of code sharing agreement with another carrier.
The DOT said in a statement that the airline has to pay a fine of huge amount which will be used in the reconsideration of the airlines and to improve the infrastructure of the airlines and the airport. The US transportation agency said there were reports from the passengers who are disabled is coming from the last some months.
The DOT reminder serves as an important reminder for us to continuously improve our service, Bryan Baldwin, JetBlue corporate communications manager said. These types of activities just improve the services provided by the airlines and the airport management authorities.
