An appeal lost by Turkish airline on Tuesday against a British court’s decision to continue the longstanding ban on the flights from Britain to north Cyprus. The Mediterranean island been divided into parts, since the invasion of Turkish troops In 1974 has made an attempt to encapsulate the island with the Greece community. All the flights necessarily have to pass through the region of turkey before going to the North of Cyprus.
Cyprus Turkish Airlines pleaded in the court of London to challenge an earlier court decision of all the Turkish air flights should be banned for their entries in the north Cyprus region the press association said. The airlines which carries near about 100,000 visitors from Britain to the north of Cyprus each year. According to the airlines this restriction is just going to increase price of tickets, increase in flight times and other green house gas emissions. There are clear cut orders from the court that all the flights which are going into the British territory have to pay full taxes or the debts to the local government.
