The world’s airlines are liked to post higher profits this year, the global industry body said on Tuesday. More than three times forecast as the economy has been rebounded previously. Just three months ago the International Air Transport Association (IATA) had concluded that the world airlines are going to post 2010 profit of USD $2.5 billion while in March it has shown a loss of USD $2.8 billion.
IATA said the upward checking of profit scenario came in the industry and the industry is seeing a faster than expected regular return from the traffic and yields. This expected yield of the income is being experienced by the global airlines which are existing there. The reports also say that this growth in economy will be slow in 2011 resulting in a lower profit.
The time span of this upturn is increasing doubt in North America and Europe, IATA said in a statement. Adding other statement to it said that Europe is the only spotted region in which losses are being experienced from a long time.
