State Control Seeks to be Ended by Thai Airways

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

A plan is being made by the Thai airways to end the state control and make the path for the aggressive regional expansion that is including the new mid-tier airline and a revamped fleet according to its president. Increased regional carrier competition is making successful talks with the local and foreign creditors to remove debt covenants to allow the Ministry of Finance.

This has been said by the ministry to cut the stakes from fifty nine point nine percent to fifty percent as said by him. We are now complying from all the laws and regulations which are existing in the current judicial environment. This sort of problem is generally faced by the airlines which are state enterprises in less developed countries.

If we are not a state enterprise we would have been free for everything, Somchai Sujjapongse, director general of the State Enterprise Policy Office from the finance ministry said in an announcement.
