Strike Ended by Pakistani Airlines Staff

Pakistan’s national airline staff ended the strike, which has grounded all the flights. This action to cancel the strike has been taken after their demands had been entertained fully with respect to the employee union. This news has been elaborated and announced by the Pakistan Airline Pilots’ Association chief Sohail Baluch said in a press conference. Pakistan International Airlines has been badly affected by the consequences of the airlines strike.

This strike has started on Tuesday morning main cause of the protest has been said to be the agreement which has been signed by the airlines and Turkish airways. This agreement was a proposed code share agreement with the airlines of turkey. According to Baluch they were going to end the strike since all their demands have been granted by the government of Pakistan and the concerned airlines.

The people who were on strike are demanding the removal of PIA managing director Aijaz Haroon who is considered to be the close friend of president Asif Ali Zardari, flights to Germany, Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands and the US are included in the list.
